Sarah Haley, founder of the Charlotte Chapter of Climate Reality Project, will deliver a very engaging and informative presentation on the climate crisis and its solutions.

Become part of the Environmental Solution! Join us for the fourth of our five part Lunch & Learn Series as we learn about climate change and how we can create a better future. Sarah Haley, founder of the Charlotte Chapter of Climate Reality Project (a global non-profit dedicated to education and advocacy related to climate change) and Environmental & Social Risk Policy Manager at Wells Fargo, will deliver an engaging and informative presentation on the climate crisis, technology and programs that exist to counteract climate change, and how we can individually be a part of the solution. At this educational event, you will learn about the local and global effects of climate change as well as its social impacts, such as environmental justice, and the disproportionate impact to vulnerable communities.

 

This will be an extended program and will run from noon to 1:30pm on Monday, March 2nd at Duke Energy's offices at 400 South Tryon St. (not the Duke Energy Center).

 

Cost is $20, lunch included. Register now, space is limited.

 

Please bring your photo ID to check in.

 

Guests can park at the Mint Street, Levine Center for the Arts, or the Green parking decks. Enter the building from South Tryon Street and check in with security.

 

There will be an optional tour of Duke Energy's Smart Meter lab after the presentation.
