After obtaining a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Emory University, Katrice Boland worked in banking, financial services, product management, and marketing before taking time off to raise a family.  Upon reentering the workforce, she pursued professional training at Queens University where she earned an Executive Coaching Certification in 2017.  In 2021, she attained her ACC credential and established Boland Consulting Group.  With respect to her current profession as an Executive Coach, she notes, “I’m currently on my second act as an Executive Coach. I’m most proud of this because I had to completely step out of my comfort zone and return to the classroom after 25 years in order to make this career shift. I’m also proud of this accomplishment because I believe I serve as a role model for others who are thinking about returning to the workforce.”  Grounded in her belief that every leader possesses the ability to make positive changes in their life, Katrice is passionate about helping leaders identify their strengths, improve their communication skills, increase their self-awareness and achieve their goals.

Katrice joined Women’s Impact Fund (WIF) in July 2018 and has volunteered in various leadership roles over the past four years.  This includes serving on the Board of Directors from 2020 – 2022, Member Education Chair from 2021- 2022, Member Education Vice-Chair from 2020-2021, Lunch & Learn Chair from 2019-2020, Education Grants Committee Member from 2019-2020, Health Grants Committee Member from 2020-2021 and Let’s Talk Thursdays Co-Lead in 2020.  One of the ways she personally has made the most of her membership is by learning more about Charlotte’s community needs. By joining various grants committees, she gained an awareness of key issues and needs in our city.  And as a leader, Katrice has “had the opportunity to shape our educational programming and ensure WIF provides educational events that address our community and world issues. I’ve also enjoyed creating programs that employ Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives and shed a light on under-resourced communities.”   

Katrice’s best advice for other WIF members is to join a committee!  “It is one of the best ways to feel connected to the meaningful work WIF does in the community. And, giving back is rewarding and helps you build a greater sense of purpose,” she states.  Indeed, WIF offers many ways for members to get plugged in, from grant work to educational program development.  Members not only have the opportunity to use their skills to benefit others but also have the opportunity to develop new skills enhancing their personal and professional growth. Plus, it’s a great way to connect with others who share similar interests. 

During hot Charlotte summers like this one, Katrice enjoys reading, playing golf, and attending Summer Pops at Symphony Park.  If you see her, please stop and say hello!

With more than 25 years of experience, Janet has a proven track record of leading organizations and teams in developing strategies that foster thriving communities. Her career is dedicated to the well-being of the places she serves, and the people and businesses within them, positioning her as a trusted sounding board, critical thinker, and purposeful protagonist across corporate, government, education, entrepreneurial, and civic spheres.
Janet joined Women’s Impact Fund in June 2025 to guide one of Charlotte’s most respected, women-led philanthropic organizations into its next phase of growth and impact. In partnership with the Women’s Impact Fund team, Board, Advisors, members, volunteers, and key community partners, she will continue strengthening communities by maximizing women’s leadership in philanthropy through collective giving, education, and engagement.
Inspired by her family, teams who dare greatly, and people and communities striving to be their best selves, Janet’s impactful career includes leadership roles as President and CEO of Charlotte Regional Business Alliance, President and CEO of Greater Portland Inc, and Chief Performance Officer of Greater Phoenix Economic Council. As a first-generation Filipino American, her lived experience deeply informs her professional drive to create equitable economic growth and opportunity in the metro areas she’s served.
She holds a BA in Communication Arts from the University of West Florida and an MBA in Marketing from the University of Phoenix. Janet and her husband James are proud parents to an older daughter, and a daughter and son who are twins.
