Shelter Health Services’ mission is to remove health issues as barriers to self-sufficiency for homeless women, and as impediments to development for homeless children, by providing free healthcare and health information that is easily accessible. Shelter Health Services accomplishes its mission with core health services (including mental health services), specialty services and education (including for substance abuse, breast cancer, dental care, HIV+, etc), and a continuum of community services through multiple partnerships. Shelter Health Services received an Opportunity Grant of $8,000.
