$12,000 to create opportunities, empower, and equip immigrant leaders to become civically engaged community advocates in the Charlotte area. LCEP identified capacity-building, ongoing operational support, and program development as three areas where funding would benefit its work. Examples include trainings, food and incentives for participants, facilitators, and Spanish-language materials. LCEP aspires to develop a “train the trainer” model and a well-designed branding campaign to increase visibility and broaden registration efforts.
