April Highlights: Celebrating Milestones, Making Connections, and Honoring Impact

April 2025 was a month of celebration, connection, and heartfelt goodbyes at Women’s Impact Fund. From honoring long-time members to gathering with fellow changemakers in the community, each event this month reminded us of the strength and generosity of the women in our network.

Honoring 5 & 10+ Year Members

We began the month by celebrating the incredible dedication of our members who have reached 5 and 10+ years with Women’s Impact Fund. Hosted at a member’s home, the event offered space to reflect on our collective impact, hear updates from nonprofit partners and Spark Award recipients, and recognize the leadership that has guided our mission. It was a joy to be in the company of so many women who have shaped and sustained women’s collective giving in Charlotte. We look forward to seeing even more members reach these milestone anniversaries in the years ahead!

A Fond Farewell to Fielding Williams

On April 10, we held with a bittersweet celebration: the farewell party for our Membership & Operations Manager, Fielding Williams, who has been a cornerstone of WIF for the past six years. On the evening of Fielding’s last day, members gathered to reflect on her many contributions—from enhancing our member experience to ensuring our operations ran smoothly. Fielding’s warmth, positivity, and unwavering commitment have left a lasting mark on our organization. While we’re sad to see her go, we are endlessly grateful for all she has brought to Women’s Impact Fund. Thank you, Fielding—you will always be a part of our story.

#WomenGiveCLT: Philanthropy in Action

On April 24, we were proud to join forces with Share Charlotte and the Junior League of Charlotte for the annual #WomenGiveCLT event at The Mint Museum. This dynamic evening brought together more than 20 local nonprofits working on behalf of women and girls, offering attendees the opportunity to discover meaningful ways to get involved—whether through volunteering or board service. With women leading the way in giving and volunteerism, but still underrepresented in nonprofit governance, #WomenGiveCLT was a powerful reminder of how we can all step up to close that gap. We loved connecting with new and familiar faces alike in a setting full of purpose, passion, and possibility.

Governance Committee Social

In April, the Governance Committee gathered over lunch for their final meeting of the year. Thanks so much to each of these women who have helped select the slate of leaders that will be presented for a vote at the 2025 Annual Meeting for positions on the 2025-2026 Board of Directors, Board of Advisors, and Committee Cabinet. These women have met every other week for the last four months to bring this slate to you, and we are so grateful!

Thank you to everyone who participated, supported, and helped make this month so memorable. Together, we are continuing to build a stronger, more connected, and more impactful community of women philanthropists in Charlotte.
