Learn more about Andrea’s WIF experience, favorite event and valuable advice for making the most of membership.
Can you provide a brief background on yourself for those who do not know you?
Yes! I’m originally from Florida and moved to Charlotte after graduating from college to begin my career at Bank of America. Since then, I’ve spent my entire career in the finance industry and currently serve as a Partner and Financial Advisor at Fairview Wealth Advisors. I truly love what I do – helping individuals and families navigate their financial journeys is both a privilege and a passion of mine. I’m especially committed to promoting financial literacy and empowerment, particularly for women. Prior to joining Fairview Wealth Advisors, I worked as an investment banker specializing in mergers and acquisitions.
Outside of work, I enjoy playing tennis, spending time with my husband and our dog, and giving back to the community.
What makes our purpose or mission meaningful to you?
WIF’s mission is meaningful to me because it combines two of my passions:
1. Giving back to the local community, and
2. Harnessing the collective power of women to make a difference!
It is so incredible to see how much we can accomplish by joining forces. WIF is a beautiful example of passionate women coming together to give back to a community that has given us so much.
What energizes/motivates you? It can be anything from a quotation, a song, a person, workout routine, etc.
Being outside has been a huge motivator for me lately. Going on a walk or getting some exercise outside always clears my head and allows me to get back to my work with a renewed sense of purpose and energy.
What has been your favorite WIF event that you’ve attended and why?
My favorite WIF event was the annual celebration last year. It was my first year as a part of WIF and the annual celebration was an incredible full circle moment where I got to witness the impact we are making on the community first-hand.
What is your advice for making the most of membership in Women’s Impact Fund?
Attend any event you can! Also, don’t be afraid to show up solo. Attending events has allowed me to meet many incredible women who I now call friends.
What is your favorite restaurant or activity in Charlotte?
The Omakase experience by Prime Fish was one of the best restaurant experiences I had in Charlotte.
