Patricia is a dynamic, collaborative leader who steered Women’s Impact Fund through the challenges of the COVID pandemic by offering creative virtual and hybrid education and engagement programs, increasing annual giving to the organization, and providing strategic and operational leadership to the organization’s diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts including reimagining membership and grantmaking processes.
Prior to joining Women’s Impact Fund in 2019, Patricia was the Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations at Davidson College where she led the cultivation, development, and stewardship of institutional philanthropy and corporate partnerships for scholarships, academic projects, and strategic priorities. Before Davidson, Patricia was a Manager with Deloitte Consulting.
Patricia sits on the UNC-Charlotte Women + Girls Research Alliance Board of Advisors. She is the past Senior Warden of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, past Board Chair of Digi-Bridge, and a past member of the World Economic Forum Charlotte Global Shapers Hub. She holds a BA from Davidson College and an MBA from The College of William & Mary. Patricia and her husband have three young boys.
FIELDING WILLIAMS

Prior to joining Women’s Impact Fund in January 2019, Fielding Williams started her own food business called The Scone Shop selling her original recipe frozen ready to bake scones in Whole Foods, Earth Fare, Reid’s Fine Foods and several other stores throughout the southeast. Before The Scone Shop, Fielding was a preschool art history teacher with Covenant Presbyterian Church for 9 years. She engaged in promoting literacy in public school and The Learning Collaborative as a volunteer and mentor, as an elder in her church and on the board of the National Society of the Colonial Dames in NC.
Fielding grew up in Beaufort, NC, attended UNC-Chapel Hill and moved to Charlotte in 2000. She and her husband have three adult boys.
Meaghan Dunham Arena
Administrative Coordinator
Meaghan Dunham is the Administrative Coordinator for Women’s Impact Fund, as well as a small business owner in the Charlotte area. With 15 years of experience in public education, corporate marketing, and small business management, Meaghan is excited to bring her variety of skills to the Women’s Impact Fund. As an adult, Meaghan’s commitment to social justice and equity began when, as a public school teacher in rural North Carolina, she witnessed first-hand the struggles of her students and their families to secure even their most basic needs. Meaghan has volunteered with many organizations over the last 15 years, including social impact coffee companies, a start-up emotional intelligence organization, and the Charlotte affiliate of the Women’s March. In her spare time, Meaghan enjoys hiking, camping and supporting local organizations with her soon-to-be husband and their rescue pup.
Haley Arellano
Secretary
Haley Arellano joined Women’s Impact Fund in 2017 and has served on several committees, including lead on the Grants Committee in Health and as chair of the Communications & Marketing Committee. In addition to her work with WIF, Haley is currently engaged in the community as an active volunteer for Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools. Haley is the Director of Clinical Operations for Avidity Biosciences, a biotech company bringing treatments to market for rare neuromuscular diseases.
Karen Barton
Community Impact Chair
Karen Barton joined Women’s Impact Fund in 2013 serving on the Grants Committee every year since joining, (including the Arts & Culture, Education, Human Services, and Health Grants Teams). She previously led the Education Grants team and is a member of the Community Impact Committee. In addition to her work with WIF, she is an active volunteer with Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools. Karen is a graduate of Auburn University’s School of Architecture. She is the founder and owner of Karen Barton Architect, an architectural firm specializing in residential design.
Tonya Bruce
Member Education Chair
Tonya Bruce joined Women’s Impact Fund in 2019 previously serving on the Member Education Committee. In addition to her work with WIF, Tonya is a member of Good Friends and serves on the board of directors for Ronald McDonald House Charities. She is a Sustainer and past board member of the Junior League of Charlotte, former member of Foundation For The Carolinas’ Charlotte Community Affairs Professionals and Robinson Center for Civic Leadership. She also served on the board for Supportive Housing Communities, a WIF funded organization. Tonya is Director, Strategy & Transformation at PwC LLP.
Katherine Bunn
Grants Chair
Katherine Bunn joined Women’s Impact Fund in 2019 previously serving on the Strategic Planning, Grants and Finance Committees, including two years as a lead for Human Services Grants. Within the community, she serves as a board member for The Pines at Davidson. Katherine retired as a Managing Director from Bank of America, where she served in various roles within Leveraged Finance, Global Principal Investments Risk Management and Corporate Treasury.
Michelle Cottrell
At Large Director
Michelle Cottrell joined Women’s Impact Fund in 2020 and served on the Member Education Committee and the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Task Force/Working Group. She is engaged in the community as a passionate advocate for the arts as the co-founder of The Coterie and on committees at the McColl Center and Arts + Science Council. She consults with small and mid-sized organizations to use technology, analytics, and improved operations to increase revenue and customer satisfaction.
Tamika Eubanks Spurlock
Grants Vice Chair
Tamika Eubanks Spurlock joined Women’s Impact Fund in 2019. Serving on the Grant Committee, she co-led the Human Services grants subcommittee for two years. A native of Charlotte, she has a sincere commitment to the community also serving on the Stewardship Committee for Planned Parenthood of Central Carolinas. Tamika is a Program Management Executive within Global Operations Business Controls, Remediation and Regulatory Engagement team at Bank of America.
Blanca L. Gonzalez
At Large Director
Blanca L. Gonzalez joined Women’s Impact Fund in 2023 after spending 13 years in three Junior League chapters serving in various leadership roles including Active-At-Large director for the London Chapter. Blanca is an executive director in the Commercial Real Estate division of Wells Fargo where she oversees the junior talent of the capital markets businesses. She’s also actively engaged in driving strategic DEI and engagement initiatives through roles in business-led councils and employee resource networks, having served as the enterprise Vice President for the Women’s Network and advisor to the Hispanic and Latino Network. In her spare time, she enjoys volunteering in the community, trying new restaurants and traveling.
Nicole Hall
Membership Chair
Nicole Hall joined Women’s Impact Fund in 2021 previously serving on the Membership and Grants Committees. In addition to her work with WIF, Nicole is engaged in the community as a member of Good Friends and a volunteer at Project 2 Heal. She has her MBA with a concentration in Real Estate and Urban Land Development and before taking on her current role as a Realtor with Helen Adams Realty, worked as an architect for more than 15 years. She now uses her background in project management and design to help her clients find the perfect home or get their home market ready if they are looking to sell. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, “fur” kids and friends, renovating her mid-century modern home, playing tennis, learning Mahjong, flower arranging, dining out, and traveling
Amy Hutch
Community Impact Vice Chair
Amy Hutch joined Women’s Impact Fund in 2019 and served on the Health Grants Committee, the Education Committee and the Community Impact Committee. Amy is vice president of distribution at Vitalant, one of the nation’s largest nonprofit blood and biotherapy organizations. She enjoys exploring new places with her husband and twin sons.
Amy Jacobs

Amy Jacobs joined Women’s Impact Fund in 2015 previously serving on the Member Engagement and Member Education Committees. Amy began her career in financial services and was later inspired to work in nonprofits. She spent six years at SHARE Charlotte and is currently Chief Opportunity Officer at Common Wealth Charlotte. Amy has been honored by the Charlotte Hornets with the Walmart Playmaker Award for being “a force for good in her community”, recognized as one of Mecklenburg Times 50 Most Influential Women, and included in Axios Charlotte’s “50+ Generation Xers Shaping Charlotte”. Amy also serves on the Board of Directors for BraveWorks.
Nikki Jarrell

Nikki Jarrell joined Women’s Impact Fund in 2014 and previously served as Treasurer and Finance Chair, Audit Chair, as well as a member of the Community Impact Committee. She is an active volunteer and has served as a member of the Board of Directors for several local nonprofits. Nikki is a Managing Director, Tax with KPMG LLP.
Kristin Keen
Communications & Marketing Vice Chair
Kristin Keen joined WIF in 2019. Active since day one, she served three years on the Grants Committee (including two leading Human Services); contributing member of WIF Diversity Equity and Inclusion Task Force; and is now vice chair of the Communications committee. Kristin also serves on the Project One Board of Directors and is a founding member of the Novant Health Novateurs. Kristin is in executive leadership at forensic engineering firm, DELTA |v| Forensic Engineering, and acting President of REDLINE—a digital media firm specializing in storytelling though powerful visuals.
Talia Moody
Membership Vice Chair
Talia Moody joined Women’s Impact Fund in 2022 and served on the Membership Committee since initially joining WIF. Talia is a vice president in Private Banking at Brown Brothers Harriman, where she manages investment portfolios and provides advice to families on preserving, growing, and transferring wealth to future generations. Talia loves all things Clemson, trying new restaurants in Charlotte, traveling, and engaging in some (friendly!) competition.
Katherine Mooring

Katherine Mooring joined Women’s Impact Fund in 2014 and is a past chair of the Member Education Committee. She previously served on the Board of Community Building Initiative, co-chairing the organization’s 20th Anniversary Committee and three annual Stakeholder Breakfasts. In 2021, after 19 years with the Arts & Science Council, Katherine founded MOKA Partners to support nonprofit organizations through project management, program design and delivery, and leadership/board development. Katherine, and her husband, Flynn are also avid travelers and love to cook (and eat)!
Kathleen O’Bannon
Governance Chair
Kathleen O’Bannon joined Women’s Impact Fund in 2007. Her commitment began with the Grants Committee serving on the Grants Education Team, after which she served on the Board as Grants Committee Chair. Other committee assignments include Membership, Governance, and Spark. Professionally, she served as Development Director for CrossRoads Corporation, leading the fundraising for the renovated Grier Heights Community Center. Today, Kathleen is a member of the Outreach Team at Myers Park Presbyterian Church (Elder) and spends her leisure time traveling and enjoying grandchildren.
Lakisha Rios
At Large Director
Lakisha Rios joined Women’s Impact Fund in 2022 and worked on the Member Education Committee within Lunch & Learn programming and the Community Impact Committee. Prior to joining Leadership Charlotte, Lakisha was an Adjunct Instructor at UNCC where she led a collaborative innovation lab in partnership with Novant and Johnson C. Smith University. This fellowship allowed Black and Latinx students from both institutions to develop innovative solutions to improve retention rates for both campuses and provide solutions for various departments across Novant. Lakisha continues to share her passion for engagement, community, leadership development, and the arts through her service to various local nonprofit organizations. In her spare time, Lakisha performs with Shae Movement African Arts Dance company. She is most proud of raising 2 teenage boys with her husband Federico.
Erika Ross

Erika Ross joined Women’s Impact Fund in 2018 previously serving on the Human Services and Education Grants teams, including 2 years as a team co-lead. She graduated from Furman University and has a Master of Public Policy from the University of Michigan. Erika is a Compensation Executive at Bank of America, managing the global pay equity process.

Andrea K. Smith joined Women’s Impact Fund in 2019 and has been on Women LEAD programming within the Member Education Committee for 3 years, serving as co-chair of Women LEAD for two of those years. Andrea is a Banker in J.P. Morgan’s Private Bank and serves as the Southeast Chair of J.P. Morgan’s Volunteer Leadership Group. She has a one year old daughter and two rescue pups.
Katie Susong

Katie Susong joined Women’s Impact Fund in 2014 and previously served as Events & Logistics Chair, Audit Chair, Treasurer, and a member of various committees. She works in derivative accounting and financial reporting at Wells Fargo. Katie is passionate about community engagement and service. She is happiest playing with her kids or traveling with her husband.
Connie Thomas
Communications & Marketing Vice Chair
Connie Thomas joined Women’s Impact Fund in 2023, shortly after moving to the Charlotte area from Louisville, Kentucky. While in Louisville, Connie served for four years on the Board of Impact100 Louisville, a women’s collective giving group like WIF, in various roles including co-chairing the Marketing Communications Committee and leading the conversion to a membership management system. She served on the Member Education LEAD committee and Human Services Grant committee. Connie lives on Lake Norman with her husband, daughter, and their two Bernese Mountain dogs.
April Whitlock
At Large Director
April Whitlock joined Women’s Impact Fund in 2020 and is the Head of Corporate Citizenship at LendingTree and Executive Director of the LendingTree Foundation since 2020. At the time, those were new roles for both April and LendingTree, but LendingTree isn’t new to her. She initially joined the fintech company over 20 years ago when it was a start-up and has returned to lead the strategic development and execution of impactful trust-based giving programs and volunteerism across LendingTree’s U.S. footprint.
