$70,000 to increase availability of healthy fresh food for everyone by fostering an ecosystem of sustainable farming on leased farmland. Funds will go towards salaries, farming needs (equipment, seeds and soil), and community outreach. CFT’s mission is to strengthen equitable local food systems in the Carolinas, from production to consumption, by preserving land for farming, supporting the next generation of small farmers, fostering an ecosystem of sustainable agriculture, and connecting consumers to affordable sources of local food.
