$70,000 for its Immigrant Youth Services. Funds will be used to hire a program coordinator to expand its efforts to serve newly arrived immigrant students and develop specialized programming to address their unique needs. The program has since expanded to serve immigrants and refugees from any country, helping 202 immigrant students and delivering 3,560 service interventions during the 2019-20 school year. CIS Newcomer Staff continues to work to support, guide, and encourage students and their families in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, which includes emergency needs assessments.
