$78,000 for its Community Outreach Dance Program, Reach (formerly NCDT REACH!). Reach offers high quality dance instruction, dancewear, and transportation at no cost to low-income members of our community. After the 29 sequential weeks of instruction, participants have access to teaching assistantships, intern positions, and scholarships to continue their training. Since its inception in 2009, Reach has served 699 with the highest ever enrollment in 2015-2016 at 88. In addition to improvement in the classroom, 100% of Reach students have demonstrated enhanced knowledge on the execution of basic steps, improvement of fitness and wellness, improvement of strength and flexibility, and exposure to information about healthy lifestyles.
