THE SALVATION ARMY

2014
$100,000 for the Rapid Rehousing Program, a national best practices model to rapidly re-house homeless families within 30-60 days of admission to The Salvation Army’s Center of Hope Shelter for Women and Children. This grant will fund the salary and benefits of a Social Worker for two years, which will allow 60 families per year to be successfully housed. The full-time social worker allowed for expansion in the RRH program, relieved strain on the Center of Hope staff, and freed up emergency shelter beds. TSA has served an average of 540 people annually for the past 3 years. Today the shelter employs 5 social workers who are a part of the RRH team.
