Stories of Impact: ArtPop Street Gallery

On December 7, 2023, ArtPop Street Gallery held its Cities Program Reveal event at Le Méridien uptown. Click here to see one of our WIF at Large Directors, April Whitlock, introducing the artists.

This event inaugurated the Charlotte Region Cities Program Class of 2024, which includes nineteen adults and one high school senior. Spanning fiber arts, portrait work, sculpture, and other mediums, these artists will have their talent showcased on over $8M worth of public billboards, digital displays, and other media spaces throughout the Charlotte metropolitan area. 

Additionally, these artists for free can take courses in the business of art and professional practices, participate in artist markets and exhibits, and connect with a growing creative community of artists and alumni. 

Congratulations to the new Class and the ArtPop Street Gallery team for their sustained support of our arts community. We can’t wait to see the artists’ works displayed throughout our city!
